Overview
This unit is a two-week instructional unit on learning the basics of multiplication. This unit of instruction is geared for third grade regular education students. Please see the various sections below for more information regarding this unit.
Goals and Objectives
- Given an equal groups picture, students will write multiplication equations that accurately describe the picture 5 out of 6 times.
- Given a number line, students will correctly fill in 12 out of 13 missing numbers using skip counting.
- When provided a multiplication equation, students will correctly draw an array 10 out of 12 times.
- Given a worksheet, students will correctly answer 5s count-bys and multiplications at least half of the time.
- Given a worksheet, students will correctly answer 2s, 9s, and 10s count-bys and multiplications 9 out of 10 times.
- Given an ipad and online access to an assessment check on Quizzizz, students will correctly answer multiplication equations with a factor of 2, 5, 9, or 10, 9 out of 10 times.
- Given a worksheet, students will correctly answer 0s, 1s, 3s, and 4s count-bys and multiplications 9 out of 10 times.
- Given an ipad and online access to an assessment check on Quizzizz, students will correctly answer multiplication equations with a factor of 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, or 10, 9 out of 10 times.
- Given a worksheet, students will correctly answer 6s, 7s, and 8s count-bys and multiplications 9 out of 10 times.
- Given a cumulative fact test, students will solve equations with 0s- 10s, with no more than one error.
